Initiative : Our 2026-2027 Strategy

The SSI Roadmap defines the long-term direction for a sustainable and resilient maritime system across Energy, People, Oceans, Finance, Transparency and Communities. It sets the outcome areas. Delivery programmes convert those priorities into focused, time bound work that produces practical industry outputs.

SSI delivers through targeted programmes where coordination gaps, decision friction and incentive misalignment slow progress. Each programme concentrates on specific system barriers and develops usable tools, reference points, pilots and decision frameworks that members and partners can apply directly.

Programmes are designed for implementation, not advocacy. They connect evidence, market practice and operational reality so that roadmap priorities translate into credible, repeatable action across the value chain.

For 2026–2027, SSI will concentrate its programme delivery through three Strategic Delivery Platforms:

  1. Commercial Pathways to Transition

  2. Human Risk & Resilience

  3. Ocean Impact & Implementation

Together, these platforms activate the SSI Roadmap and focus effort where shared action can make the greatest difference.
