Initiative : MBOH Breakthrough - COP30 Granary of Solutions

In collaboration with the Climate Champions Team and the UN Foundation, the Sustainable Shipping Initiative has developed the several products in support of the Marine Biodiversity and Ocean Health Breakthrough. Here, we have compiled in this document for the COP30 Granary of Solutions. We provide shared milestones, best-practice guidance and examples, and progress indicators to support the shipping industry in reducing its impacts on marine biodiversity and ocean health, and ultimately driving toward a productive, healthy ocean and an equitable, sustainable ocean economy by 2050.

By outlining clear milestones and recommended actions, the products guide a holistic set of measures and actions to create a thriving ocean and ocean economy. This document provides an overview of real-world progress and the measures being taken to meet milestones across the seven themes. It demonstrates the Roadmap as a Solution in Action.
